Repair National Survey 2024

Abstract

Behavioural insight is a foundation of the EPA’s Circular Economy Programme, providing evidence to inform policy, behavioural change interventions and awareness campaigns. The EPA contracted Ipsos B&A to carry out this quantitative research to monitor incidence of repair activities at the national level and evaluate repair initiatives and support available to the Irish public.

Methods

The fieldwork for the online survey of a nationally representative sample of 1,002 adults aged 16+ was carried out in October and November 2024. Where relevant, the study benchmarks findings against the previous National Repair Survey 2022.

Main Findings

The survey is presented across two topic areas: national repair activities and skills, and awareness and usage of repair supports and initiatives. The results are presented in infographic form with raw data files available to download.
